2025 Art of the Cut - Affinity Space
At Art of the Cut 2025, Public Works Collaborative sponsored and curated an Affinity Space that invited partners to interact and co-create with audience members. Rooted in the themes of community, mental health, and the arts, the space offered a welcoming environment for dialogue, reflection, and collaboration. It served as both a gathering place and a creative hub, encouraging participants to build connections, share perspectives, and explore how art-making can foster healing and belonging.
Community collaborators for the space included: Thaddaeus Washington (musician); Toledo Museum of Art Outreach team (visual art); ProMedica Barbershop Program (health resources); DeAndre Gaston/Go Tyme Grynd (fitness resources); Fearless Writers (creative writing); NAMI Of Greater Toledo (creative expressions/mental health resources); Unbounded Artists Development Community (visual art); Anthony Gonzales/Beast (designer); Jay “dirtykics” Dickerson (photographer).
